Bret Harte Middle School
The Bret Harte Bike Club operates on Monday’s and Wednesday’s. This eight year old club is loved by students, parents and staff at Bret Harte.
Our Four Program Elements
Bike Safety
- Bicycle Safety Training
- A safe space amongst pears
- Team building activities
- Exposure of safe and fun destinations
- Learn and experience safe bicycle routes to the destinations
- Mapping and planning safe routes to school
Community Leadership
- Team building activities
- Involvement in community service projects
- A peer leadership program for advance bike club students

Positive Choices in Daily Life
- Health and nutrition
- Re-use bike art projects
- Art to express their knowledge
- Biking to make the mind and body stronger and relaxed
- Biking as appreciation and protection for Mother Earth

- Basic maintenance and upkeep their bicycles

Bret Harte Community Academy
The BHCA office is located in the brown portable on the campus’ blacktop. In addition to offering bike club it also offers a variety of enrichment programs and homework help Monday-Friday
