Bay Area Tours for all ages
SPECIAL NOTICE
the August 2 tour of Berkeley has been cancelled due to lack of sign-ups….the schedule will continue in September!!
Cycles of Change at last presents a unique series of bicycle-based journeys into the heart of the Bay Area. We will travel ancient pathways, follow lost rivers, and learn the hidden stories within the city while visiting some spectacular destinations. The intent is to become closer to the sacred land and human communities of this place we call home.
The tours are co-hosted by Sustainable Pacific Rim Cities, a non-profit organization also based in the East Bay.
The rides will meet at BART stations and involve light to moderate riding in and out of urban areas along low-traffic routes (with no great distances, challenging terrain or large hills). Participants should have a working bicycle (although minor tune-ups and/or borrowing can be arranged with advance notice). A donation to $10 to cover the tour is appreciated, and an additional donation of any amount to Cycles of Change (our non-profit youth bicycle adventures program) or to Sustainable Pacific Rim Cities is requested but not required.
