If you are curious to know how your bicycle functions, you are in for a treat! Cycles of Change invites you to join our newest program called the Build-A-Bike Program, which offer basic and advanced bike mechanic classes. This program will last a total of three weeks with meetings two days a week on Mondays and Fridays from 5:30pm to 8:30pm (Sign up to confirm dates). We will have the opportunity to dissemble and examine the anatomy of a bike before putting it back together better than its original form. We will also spend time troubleshooting while on the road.
Cycles of Change wants you to be a part of the biking community and gain tools and repair knowledge to empower your experience.
Adult education $350 -$450 sliding scale (covers materials). Participants build one bike for themselves or donate it back to Cycles or $250-$350 to cover the classes only (no bike). Be prepared to spend at least 20-30 hours wrenching focused on rehabilitating a bicycle. Spots fill up fast so sign up here. Email the BAB coordinator San@cyclesofchange.org with questions.
